Hibachi Chicken, Steak & Shrimp Plate
A classic Japanese steakhouse-style combo plate at home—juicy chicken, tender steak, and buttery shrimp served with fried rice, vegetables, and signature hibachi sauce.
🛒 Ingredients
🍗🍤🥩 Proteins
- 1 cup chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced thin
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled & deveined
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oil (for cooking)
🍚 Hibachi fried rice
- 3 cups cooked cold rice
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
🥦 Hibachi vegetables
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms (optional)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
🍯 Hibachi sauce (yum-yum style)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp sugar or honey
- 1 tsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1–2 tbsp water (to thin)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Cook proteins separately
- Heat oil in a hot skillet or wok
- Season chicken, steak, and shrimp lightly with salt, pepper, and soy sauce
- Cook each until just done:
- Shrimp: 1–2 min per side
- Chicken: 4–6 min
- Steak: 2–3 min for medium
- Set aside
2. Make hibachi fried rice
- In same pan, melt butter
- Sauté garlic and vegetables
- Add cold rice and break apart
- Push to side, scramble eggs in pan
- Mix everything together
- Season with soy sauce and sesame oil
- Add green onions
3. Cook hibachi vegetables
- In a separate pan, sauté zucchini, onion, and mushrooms in butter
- Add soy sauce and cook 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp
4. Make hibachi sauce
- Mix all sauce ingredients until smooth and creamy
- Adjust sweetness or tang to taste
5. Assemble plate
- Serve fried rice as base
- Arrange chicken, steak, and shrimp on top
- Add sautéed vegetables on side
- Drizzle or serve sauce separately
