Ultimate Pepper Steak Plate
π§ Ingredients (Steak)
- 2 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin)
- 1Β½ tsp black pepper (freshly crushed for best flavor)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional but recommended)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3β4 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional for heat)
π³ Pepper Steak Cooking
- Marinate (15β30 min)
Mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic, and a little oil. Coat steaks well. - Sear the steak
Heat a pan until very hot. Add oil/butter and sear steaks:- 2β4 min per side (medium rare to medium)
- Add garlic while cooking for aroma
- Finish & rest
Let steak rest 5β10 minutes before slicing (keeps it juicy).
π Crispy Fries
Ingredients
- 3β4 potatoes (cut into fries)
- Salt
- Cold water
- Cornflour (optional for extra crisp)
- Oil for frying
Method
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes (removes starch)
- Pat dry thoroughly
- Toss with a little cornflour + salt
- Deep fry twice:
- First fry: low-medium heat until soft
- Second fry: high heat until golden & crispy
π₯ Fresh Salad
Ingredients
- Lettuce or cabbage
- Cucumber (sliced)
- Tomato (wedges)
- Onion (thin slices)
- Lemon juice or vinegar
- Salt & black pepper
- Olive oil (optional)
Method
Toss everything lightly and keep it fresh and crunchy.
π½οΈ Pepper Steak Sauce (Optional but Recommended)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Pinch of salt
Simmer until slightly thickβpour over steak for a creamy pepper finish.
π΄ Plating (Restaurant Style)
- Slice steak against the grain
- Place fries on one side
- Fresh salad on the other
- Drizzle pepper sauce over steak or serve on the side
- Finish with a sprinkle of cracked black pepper
