🍎 Air Fryer Apple Pie Taquitos
Crispy on the outside, warm cinnamon-apple filling inside—these are like mini handheld apple pies with a crunchy twist.
🛒 Ingredients:
- 6–8 small flour tortillas
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2–3 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For finishing:
- Cooking spray or melted butter
- 2 tbsp sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Cook the apple filling
In a pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Cook for 5–7 minutes until apples are soft but not mushy. Stir in vanilla at the end. Let cool slightly.
2. Fill the taquitos
Warm tortillas slightly so they don’t crack.
Place 2–3 tbsp apple filling along one edge and roll tightly.
3. Seal and prep
Lightly brush or spray the seam with butter or oil so they stay closed.
4. Air fry
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Place taquitos seam-side down in a single layer.
Lightly spray tops with oil or butter.
Cook for 6–9 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
5. Cinnamon sugar coating
Mix sugar and cinnamon. While taquitos are still warm, roll or sprinkle them generously.
