A layered Italian-style baked pasta with rich meat sauce, creamy cheese filling, and gooey melted cheese on top. It’s hearty, filling, and perfect for family meals or leftovers that taste even better the next day.
🛒 Ingredients:
🥩 Meat sauce:
- 1 lb ground beef (or half beef + half pork)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14–15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 1–2 cups tomato sauce or marinara
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp sugar (optional, balances acidity)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
🧀 Cheese layer:
- 1½ cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 1 egg
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp parsley or Italian herbs

1. Make meat sauce
