2. Make filling
- Mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- Stir in a bit of mozzarella and Parmesan
3. Assemble roll-ups
- Spread ricotta mixture evenly over each noodle
- Add a thin layer of meat (if using)
- Roll tightly from one end to the other
4. Prepare baking dish
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom
- Place roll-ups seam-side down
5. Top & bake
- Spoon more marinara over the top
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until bubbly
🍽️ Result:
Tender pasta spirals filled with creamy ricotta cheese and melted mozzarella cheese, coated in rich tomato sauce.
🔥 Pro Tips:
- Don’t overfill or they’ll be hard to roll
- Let them rest 5–10 minutes before serving so they hold shape
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor
🧠 Why roll-ups are great:
- Easier portion control than layered lasagna
- Faster baking time
- More crispy cheesy edges
If you want, I can also make a white sauce chicken version, a vegetarian spinach mushroom roll-up, or an air fryer mini lasagna cup version.
