🍰 Custard Almond Cake
🧾 Ingredients:
Dry:
- 1½ cups almond flour
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Wet:
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Custard layer:
- 1 cup prepared custard (thick, cooled)
Optional topping:
- Sliced almonds or powdered sugar
🔪 Instructions:
1. Prepare oven
- Preheat to 175°C (350°F)
- Grease and line a cake pan
2. Make batter
- Whisk eggs and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla
- Fold in dry ingredients until smooth
3. Assemble
- Pour half the batter into the pan
- Spread a layer of custard in the middle
- Cover with remaining batter
4. Bake
- Bake 35–45 minutes until golden and set
- A toothpick should come out mostly clean
5. Cool & serve
- Let cool completely before slicing
- Top with sliced almonds or a light dusting of sugar
