Fruit Scones in Air Fryer
Soft, buttery scones packed with sweet dried fruit—crispy on the outside, tender and fluffy inside. The air fryer makes them quick and evenly golden without turning on the oven.
🛒 Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup cold butter, cubed
- ¾ cup milk (plus a little extra if needed)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
🍇 Fruit add-ins:
- ½ cup raisins, sultanas, or dried cranberries
- Optional: ¼ cup chopped dried apricots or mixed peel
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Mix dry ingredients
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
2. Cut in butter
Add cold butter cubes and rub in with fingers (or use a pastry cutter) until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
3. Add fruit
Stir in dried fruit evenly.
4. Form dough
Add milk (and vanilla if using).
Mix gently until a soft dough forms—don’t overmix.
If too dry, add 1–2 tbsp more milk.
5. Shape scones
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface.
Pat into a 1-inch thick round.
Cut into wedges or use a cutter for round scones.
