Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Fries

🛒 Ingredients
🥩 Steak bites
- 500 g steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), cut into cubes
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp oil (for searing)
🧄 Garlic butter sauce
- 3–4 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh parsley (or dried)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- Pinch of chili flakes (optional) 🌶️
🍟 Fries
- 3–4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (for crispiness)
- Salt, to taste
- Oil for frying or baking
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Make crispy fries
- Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 20–30 minutes
- Drain and dry completely
- Toss with cornstarch, salt, paprika, and a little oil
- Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 30–35 minutes OR deep fry until golden and crispy
2. Sear steak bites
- Heat oil in a hot skillet (high heat is key)
- Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika
- Sear in batches for 2–3 minutes until browned but juicy inside
- Remove and set aside
3. Make garlic butter
- Lower heat to medium
- Add butter to the same pan
- Stir in garlic and cook 30–60 seconds
- Add parsley, lemon juice, and chili flakes
4. Combine
- Return steak bites to pan
- Toss until fully coated in garlic butter
🍽️ Serve
- Plate steak bites with hot crispy fries 🍟
- Spoon extra garlic butter over everything 🧄
- Optional: add dipping sauces like mayo, ketchup, or spicy aioli
