1. Prep
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Grease and line a loaf or round pan
2. Make batter
- Cream butter and sugar until light
- Add eggs one at a time
- Mix in lemon zest, juice, and vanilla
- Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda
- Add milk/yogurt to get a smooth batter
3. Bake
- Pour into pan
- Bake 35–45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
4. Add drizzle
- Mix lemon juice and sugar
- While cake is still warm, poke holes and pour drizzle over
- Let it soak in and cool
