🍁🍪 Maple Cookies with Maple Glaze
Soft, chewy cookies flavored with real maple syrup and topped with a glossy maple glaze. They’re cozy, lightly spiced, and taste like a bakery-style fall treat any time of year.
🛒 Ingredients:
🍪 Cookies:
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ⅓ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional but recommended)
🍁 Maple Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1–2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven
Set to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Make cookie dough
In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Add egg, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix well.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
3. Shape cookies
Scoop dough into balls (about 1½ tbsp each).
Place on baking sheet and gently flatten.
4. Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
Centers should stay soft.
Let cool completely before glazing.
5. Make maple glaze
Whisk powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and milk until smooth and pourable.
6. Glaze cookies
Drizzle or dip cooled cookies into glaze.
Let set for 10–15 minutes until slightly firm.
