Zebra-Striped Marble Cake
A fun, eye-catching cake with beautiful zebra-like rings inside—made by layering vanilla and chocolate batters in a simple pattern. It looks impressive but is surprisingly easy!
🛒 Ingredients:
🍰 Batter:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
🍫 Chocolate portion:
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2–3 tbsp milk (to loosen chocolate batter)
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven
Set to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and line an 8 or 9-inch round cake pan.
2. Make batter
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
3. Divide batter
Split batter evenly into two bowls.
- Leave one as vanilla
- In the other, mix in cocoa powder and extra milk until smooth
4. Create zebra pattern
Spoon 2 tablespoons of vanilla batter into the center of the pan.
Then add 2 tablespoons of chocolate batter directly on top.
Repeat, alternating batters, always pouring into the center.
The layers will spread outward naturally to form stripes.
5. Bake
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
6. Cool
Let cool before slicing to reveal the zebra pattern.
